The Christmas Show features colorful costumes and an award-winning lineup of performers including Calvin Gilmore, Rita Gumm, Brad Long, Christie Templeton, and many more. The Nutcracker – Coastal Youth Ballet | Coastal Carolina University | December 12^th – 20^th

The Coastal Youth Ballet Theatre is proud to present a true Christmas tradition – The Nutcracker. This magical performance tells the classic tale of Clara and the handsome prince with a whimsical score by Tchaikovsky, a renowned musical prodigy. Intracoastal Christmas Regatta Boat Parade | November 28^th | 5pm

The Intracoastal Christmas Regatta, which takes place each year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, has become an area tradition for many. The parade begins at the Little River Inlet at 5pm and slowly floats down the Intracoastal Waterway, finally ending at Dock Holidays Marina around 7pm. Watch as boats of all shapes and sizes decked out in Christmas décor pass by and light up the river! There are several public viewing spots along the route, so bundle up the whole family and make this a part of your holiday tradition.

Ripley’s / Broadway at the Beach | December 5^th | 11am

Head to Broadway at the Beach on Saturday, December 7th for the city of Myrtle Beach’s only official holiday parade! The parade includes tons of local floats and harbors a very family oriented atmosphere. The fun starts at 11am as the parade begins near the Hard Rock Café and winds around the complex, finally ending near WonderWorks. There will be tons of entertainment in Broadway after the parade, so stick around for an afternoon full of fun!

City of North Myrtle Beach | December 5^th | 5:30pm

Venture to North Myrtle Beach to see their annual holiday parade. The parade route begins on Main Street and goes all the way down to Ocean Boulevard and includes a variety of local floats, walking groups, and street performers. This parade starts at 5:30 and ends at approximately 7:30.

Murrells Inlet | December 6^th | 12pm

The Murrells Inlet Christmas Parade also takes place on a Sunday afternoon and is a great option if you cannot make it to a Saturday parade. This cheerful event begins at 3:00 pm and rides down highway 17 business, passing by the popular MarshWalk area. The parade will include a variety of local floats, marching bands, motorcycles, and more!

City of Surfside Beach | December 12^th | 2pm

If you can’t make it to one of the Sunday parades – fret not! Just head south to the quaint town of Surfside Beach and participate in their annual Sunday celebration. The parade begins at 2: oo and winds down Ocean Boulevard. The event will include plenty of themed floats, walking groups, and an appearance from Santa himself!

Chilympics Chili Cook Off | Marsh Jetty | October 11^th

26^th Annual Wooden Boat Show | Georgetown Waterfront | October 17^th – 18^th

History buffs and maritime enthusiasts alike are sure to enjoy the intricate displays at the annual Georgetown Wooden Boat Show. This weekend-long event takes place in the historic waterfront area and will feature more than 150 classic wooden boats displayed on land and in water. Additionally, there will be a boatbuilding competition, knot tying demonstrations, children’s boat modeling, maritime arts and crafts, and plenty of live entertainment and local food to go around.  This unique July 4^th commemoration is returning to the Grand Strand for the sixth year and is a great way to enjoy a moment of reflection during your Independence Day celebrations. Vintage aircraft will fly along the South Carolina coast beginning at 1pm at Cherry Grove Beach in North Myrtle. Aircrafts will be visible at various points in the area between 1pm – 2pm and area participants are encouraged to share pictures and videos of the event with the hashtag #SaluteFromTheShore.

4^th Annual Cupcake Eating Contest | Croissants Bistro & Bakery | 2pm – 5pm

49^th Annual 4^th of July Parade | Pawleys Island | 11am

The 4^th of July Parade on Pawleys Island is an annual tradition for many visitors and locals alike. Grab a few chairs and kick back as make-shift floats make their way down the island. The parade will include themed floats, walking groups, and live entertainment and will be followed by a family picnic and celebration at Plyler Park.

Memorial Day Veterans March & Remembrance Ceremony | May 25^th

The Memorial Day Veterans March, an annual tradition, will begin promptly at 9am along Ocean Boulevard from 16^th Avenue North to 9^th Avenue North. The march is not a parade event but more of a serious march to honor area veterans and show gratitude and support.  The Remembrance Ceremony will follow the event at 11am which will take place at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. This ceremony will feature several local speakers and is open to the public.

Memorial Saturday Music Cookout | May 23^rd | La Belle Amie Vineyard

Grab a few friends and family members and head to La Belle Amie Vineyard to kick back and cookout! Brookgreen Gardens Race | May 24^th | Brookgreen Gardens

Expert and novice runners alike are invited to join in on the annual Brookgreen Gardens Race which takes place each year on the Sunday before Memorial Day. This exciting event will take kick off at 5:30pm (unlike many other races that begin first thing in the morning) and will take participants on a scenic route throughout the gardens. Accommodations in the Oceanfront Tower include oceanfront efficiencies and suites in the main building.

Lowrise Tower accommodations include oceanfront and oceanview rooms and efficiencies and are a bit more budget-friendly than the main tower.

Sleep space can accommodate up to seven guests in certain rooms.
