11th Annual Little River ShrimpFest | Little Rive Waterfront | October 10th – 11th

 

The annual Little River ShrimpFest is a tradition among visitors and locals alike – and it’s not hard to figure out why! Forest Gump himself would approve of this tasty soiree. The two-day event will include two live music stages, more than Shrimp Festival Shrimp PoBoy150 local craft and business vendors, a spacious children’s area with rides, games, and activities, and plenty of succulent shrimp concoctions – of course! Myrtle Beach Oktoberfest | Downtown Myrtle Beach | October 10th – 11th

 

Dust off those lederhosen and get ready for the area’s biggest Bavarian celebration! The Myrtle Beach Oktoberfest celebration will feature two live music stages, the area’s largest Beer Garden, local food and craft vendors, and plenty of family activities like the petting zoo, car show, inflatables, rides, and much more. The fun runs from 11am – 11pm on Saturday and 12pm – 9pm on Sunday and the event is free to attend.

 

Festa Italiana | Broadway at the Beach | October 10th – 11th

 

Calling all food lovers – the Italian Festival at Broadway at the Beach is THE place to be this fall! This lively celebration is one of the few opportunities locals and visitors have to experience authentic Italian cuisine, just like Mama used to make in the old country. Homemade pastas with slow simmered sauces, zesty sausage with onions and peppers, hand-rolled meatballs with sweet marinara, and plenty of mouthwatering Italian desserts. Yes, you read that correctly – BACON FESTIVAL. Several area restaurants will be at the Myrtle Beach House of Blues serving up their most creative bacon-inspired concoctions. The event will also include live entertainment and drink chili cook-off chilispecials throughout the afternoon. Chilympics Chili Cook Off | Marsh Jetty | October 11th

 

Chili pros from across the Grand Strand will be at the new Marsh Jetty area (Murrells Inlet) to showcase their finest chili offerings and you won’t want to miss out on the action! From traditional to very outside of the box – you are in for a chili treat. The festival will also feature a wide selection of local beers, live local entertainment throughout the afternoon, several local craft vendors, activities for the kids, and much more. Rock Back the Clock Music Fest | La Belle Amie Vineyard | October 17th

 

Get out and enjoy the crisp fall weather at the Rock Back the Clock Music Fest at La Belle Amie Vineyard. This lively celebration will include live music throughout the afternoon by two local bands and plenty of tasty food via The Vineyard Grill. 6th Annual Wine Fest & Taste of Market Common | Market Common | October 17th

 

The Myrtle Beach Wine Fest has merged with the annual Taste of Market Common to create one exciting weekend. All of the local restaurants in the Market Common area will be serving up their best dishes in addition to more than 50 wines from around the world. Interested guests must purchase a $5 tasting glass and then all wine samples are pay as you go. The event will also include live music and other family-friendly activities. 26th Annual Wooden Boat Show | Georgetown Waterfront | October 17th – 18th

History buffs and maritime enthusiasts alike are sure to enjoy the intricate displays at the annual Georgetown Wooden Boat Show. This weekend-long event takes place in the historic waterfront area and will feature more than 150 classic wooden boats displayed on land and in water. Additionally, there will be a boatbuilding competition, knot tying demonstrations, children’s boat modeling, maritime arts and crafts, and plenty of live entertainment and local food to go around. 12th Annual Murrells Inlet Oyster Roast | MarshWalk | October 24th

 

Head south for the seafood capital of the state on Saturday, October 24th for the biggest local oyster festival in town. The Murrells Inlet MarshWalk will be bustling with “all you can eat oysters” (while supplies last), live music, family activities, and much more! Not a fan of oysters? No problem! There will be plenty of other food vendors and restaurants present serving up both seafood and non-seafood items so you are sure to find something to please even the pickiest palate.
