Looking for a real scare? If so, head to the Nightmare Haunted House in downtown Myrtle Beach, This seemingly innocent mansion is filled with all of your worst nightmares, lurking around every corner. Pigboy, Meathead, and Mr. Giggles are just a few of the not-so friendly characters you will encounter. Maneuver your way throughout the twisting halls and feel free to let out a scream… or two… or three. This haunted house is more appropriate for seasoned Halloween enthusiasts. Who says Halloween has to be taken seriously? Get in a few giggles this year at Carolina Improv. This talented troupe is hosting a special Halloween comedy event that you won’t want to miss – “Whose Haunting Is It Anyway?” This two night special event takes place on Friday, October 28th and Saturday, October 29th. The professionally trained improv team will use suggestions from the audience to bring the spooky story to life. We promise that this one of a kind event will be a Halloween to remember! halloween themed martiniIf you are looking to kick back and relax this Halloween, be sure to check out the Hallowine Dinner at Croissants Bistro & Bakery on Thursday, October 27th. The evening will include a “freaky” 5-course meal paired with hand selected Rodney Strong wines from Southern Wine & Spirits. Two other local attractions that offer year-round frights will also be open and ready to impress during their time to shine. Ripley’s Haunted Adventure, located in the downtown portion of Myrtle Beach, will be open all month long serving up screams by the minute. This live action haunted house offers a variety of professional actors and animatronic props that will pop out when you least expect it. Additionally, the Outbreak attraction at the Hollywood Wax Museum – a new addition to the local attraction lineup – will also be open. This zombie apocalypse experience is unlike anything in the area and is a must for zombie fans!

Boardwalk Fright Nights | Downtown Myrtle Beach | Ongoing

Head to the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk any weekend in October to experience zombies up close and personal. That’s right – the entire boardwalk area transforms into something out of an apocalyptic movie and the undead will be roaming the streets. Don’t worry though – they are friendly zombies available for photo opps and aren’t after your brains. Guests can also enjoy discounts at all of the downtown haunted attractions and the Myrtle Beach zipline. This event takes place every Friday and Saturday in October from 5pm – 10pm.

 

The Haunted Forest | Broadway Grand Prix | Ongoing

This ongoing Halloween event is not for the faint of heart. Broadway Grand Prix will host The Haunted Forest every day in October at dusk and proceeds from the attraction will benefit BackPack Buddies and Help 4 Kids. The terrifying adventure lasts 25 minutes to tour and will leave you shaking in fear! This attraction is not recommended for children under the age of 10. Grand Strand Halloween Festival | October 22nd | X Sports Gym

Gather your little goblins and head across the waterway to the X Sports Gym for a safe and spooky indoor trick-or-treat experience. This free event is ideal for families and is a great way to get in the Halloween spirit! Guests can enjoy face-painting, inflatables, meet and greet sessions with costume characters, games, costume contests, and much more. The Halloween festival will run from 11am – 5pm.

 

Trunk of Treat | October 22nd | WonderWorks

This free event will run from 10am – 3pm and promises to be plenty of fun for the whole family! Boo Bash | Children’s Museum of SC | October 28th

Our littlest guests are sure to enjoy the lively Halloween activities at the Children’s Museum of South Carolina. The museum is hosting its annual Boo Bash from 5:30pm – 8pm on Friday, October 29th. The bash will include Halloween games, a costume contest, snacks, giveaways, and a stunning “Magic of Science” show. Guests will also get to explore all of the exciting museum exhibits! This bustling outdoor attraction, conveniently located in the heart of Myrtle Beach, is hosting a family friendly trick-or-treating event on Monday, October 31st. Enjoy face painting, roaming street entertainment, and free treats for all between 4:30 – 6:30pm. Dress to impress as there will also be costume contests and a children’s costume parade. Participating stores will be handing out candy for dressed trick-or-treaters and there will be complimentary carriage rides and live music for all to enjoy. This scenic outdoor venue will transform into a spooky scare-free zone with plenty of activities for families.
