This popular Broadway attraction is hard to miss! Located within an upside down house, WonderWorks takes visitors through an exciting and educational tour. A self proclaimed “amusement park for the mind”, WonderWorks offers more than 100 unique attractions, making it ideal for guests of any age. In addition to an impressive selection of hands-on exhibits, WonderWorks also offers lazer tag, two obstacle courses (one indoors and one outdoors), ziplining across Lake Broadway, and an on-site café.

Head underwater and make a few new nautical friends at the Ripley’s Aquarium. This wildly popular attraction offers over 85,000 square feet of space and is the most visited aquarium in the entire state. Guests seeking a premier movie experience will definitely want to splurge on tickets at “The Big D” Theatre. This former I-MAX theatre offers plush recliner-style seating, the latest surround sound system, and a giant custom screen measuring 78 –feet wide and 35-feet tall. The Big D screens one movie at a time that varies on a weekly basis.

Do you have the need for speed? If so, be sure to check out Broadway Grand Prix! Recently renovated, Broadway Grand Prix offers seven unique go-kart tracks including tracks for children and families. Stock up on peanuts and cracker jacks and get ready for a game of Myrtle Beach Pelicans baseball! This minor league affiliate of the Chicago Cubs kicks off baseball season in April and plays throughout the summer leaving plenty of opportunities to grab tickets to a home game. The team and management put on entertainment throughout the game and in-between innings to keep your family busy and offer tempting promotions throughout the week like Wiener Wednesday ($1 hotdogs all game long) and Thirsty Thursday ($1 domestic beers from 6pm – 8pm). Best Myrtle Beach Seafood

Winner: Wahoo’s Fish House
Located on the south end of the strand in the Seafood Capital of the state (Murrells Inlet), Wahoo’s Fish House offers fresh, local seafood – plain and simple. Located in the heart of downtown Myrtle Beach, this local pizza joint has been a favorite for over ten years running and they show no sign of slowing down any time soon. Classis New York pizza available by the slice or by the pie can be found here in all of your favorite combinations – meat lovers, buffalo chicken, mega veggie, spinach and feta, and white – to name just a few. The thin, crispy crust, homemade sauce, and generous toppings make this pizza a true winner.

Best Myrtle Beach Mexican Fare

Winner: Sun City Café
Sun City Café might not be your typical Mexican restaurant but that’s what puts them a step above the rest. This locally owned and operated eatery is only open a Wednesday-Saturday for dinner during the summer (you can check their Facebook page for off-season schedules) but is well worth the effort. All ingredients are fresh and if something can be made from scratch you better believe it is – down to the handmade tortillas. Selections include tacos, quesadillas, burritos, and other classics that you’d expect. Don’t forget to grab a fresh-squeezed margarita to complete your south of the border tour.

Best Myrtle Beach Tapas

Winner: Boom Boom Wine Room
Nestled in a small space right off Highway 17 Bypass, Boom Boom Wine Room offers a cozy atmosphere and killer tapas plates, making this a perfect spot for date night or a girls’ night out on the town. All menu selections are made with fresh, local ingredients and change often to reflect what is in season. Though the menu varies, popular items include: baked lamb and pork meatballs, warm bacon n’ cheddar biscuits, braised short rib, and customizable charcuterie plates – to name a few. Boom Boom also offers a unique Cruvinet system that allows guests to find the perfect one, three, or five ounce wine sample to accompany each course.

Customization is king at Which Wich and is a favorite among lovers of the “everything but the kitchen sink” sandwich variety.  A nice change to the traditional chalkboard menu ordering system, guests at this noon-traditional sandwich shop start by selecting a “bag” which describes the main protein for the meal. Guests then customize the type of vehicle they would like (white or wheat bread, a “lettucewhich” or a “bowlwich”), whether they want it hot or cold, and then what toppings they’d like.
