Parks in Myrtle Beach

TIGERS Preservation Station

 

Located at the popular Barefoot Landing complex in North Myrtle Beach, the TIGER Preservation Station allows guests to get up close and personal with cuddly tiger cubs! Guests can see Bengal tigers, Siberian tigers, royal white Bengal tigers, and even the most rare tiger of them all – the golden tabby tiger. This attraction also showcases an array of other animals like apes and reptiles, all of which can be seen free of charge. Myrtle Beach Festivals and Events

 

Myrtle Beach has plenty of free local events and festivals that are happening throughout the year. Many are right along Ocean Boulevard. In the summer, Market Common hosts “Movies Under the Stars” and the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk hosts “Hot Summer Nights”. Myrtle Beach Museums

 

There are several intriguing museums in the area that are free to the public and are a great way to escape the heat or a rare rainy beach day. The Franklin G. Burroughs – Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum showcases visual art from all mediums and genres and also features several special exhibits throughout the year. The museum is open Tuesday – Sunday. The Horry County Museum is also free to the public and gives visitors a true taste of the low country culture. This museum is open Tuesday – Saturday.

 

Myrtle Beach Boardwalk

 

Myrtle Beach BoardwalkLocated in the popular downtown section of Myrtle Beach, the recently expanded boardwalk section provides almost a mile of scenic open space and one of the area’s longest piers. The boardwalk hosts a wide array of free events throughout the year that offer live music and family friendly entertainment. Popular events include the Hot Summer Nights promotion during the summer and their St. Patrick’s Day festival. The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk is also a great spot to window shop, people watch, or even take a leisurely stroll along the beach.

 

Live Music

 

There are plenty of places for live music in Myrtle Beach. In the summer months, the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk hosts live bands playing all kinds of genres on weekends. Garden City Pier also hosts live music throughout the busy season.

If you’re willing to venture south, there are plenty of restaurants along the Murrells Inlet Marshwalk that host live music throughout the week. This inlet-front boardwalk stretch offers a lively marina and 9 unique restaurants that provide a wide array of local music selections.

 

Beaches

 

Of course while you are in Myrtle Beach, you are probably planning on going to the beach.
